SGL GmbH is an internationally active logistics company specialising in the transport of bulk goods in the foodstuff and feed domain of the GMP+ sector.
As an owner-managed independent company, we have been coordinating our transport services from our main location in Salzgitter, Germany since 1994.
Our mission at SGL GmbH is to assist you daily with professional equipment and many years of experience with your transports in the bulk sector. That is why we stand for our speciality with our name SGL GmbH: bulk goods logistics (German: Schüttgut Logistik).
As a service provider, we at SGL GmbH see ourselves as a traditional transport company that brings your goods to your customers in the most efficient way.
As a specialist in foodstuff and feed logistics, competence and a high degree of trust are required, which we provide to our customers through many years of experience in our sector and through our promise of quality.

To ensure that all related processes to our services run smoothly, our team of over one hundred regularly trained employees ensures that we can always keep our quality promise to our customers. History

As a transport service provider, we are very familiar with our trade. We have been responsible for our customers’ goods for more than fifty years now.
Our company has a long history dating back to 1964. That year, a transport company was founded in the Netherlands with a single truck.
The company quickly grew into an international transport service provider, so in 1994 the decision was made to open the first office outside the Netherlands: the office in Salzgitter, Germany.
Together with the management, Harry Geraets made the decision in 1994 to establish the German location of the Dutch transport company.
Due to the changed positioning in the market of the Dutch company, the opportunity arose in 2015 for Harry Geraets to take over the business of the German location.
Since then, we have been operating as SGL GmbH, which stands for our specialist area of bulk logistics.
Our current management and company owner has been the managing director of SGL GmbH for more than twenty-five years.
Decades of experience, an owner-managed family business, and the commitment of our employees are the key to our many years of success and form the basis for mutual trust and cooperation with our customers.
